This page explains how consent works on the Now Book It booking platform and what choices are available to you \u2014 including how to opt out of SMS updates, venue marketing communications, and other data uses.<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>Now Book It operates in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. Your rights are governed by the privacy legislation applicable in your country, as set out in Section 9 of this document.<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>These options are provided in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at <a href=\"\/privacypolicy\/\">nowbookit.com\/privacypolicy<\/a><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<br>\n<ol>\n \t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h3>How Consent Works on Now Book It<\/h3>\nWhen you make a reservation through Now Book It \u2014 whether directly on our platform, via a venue\u2019s website, or through Google\u2019s Reserve with Google service \u2014 you may be presented with up to three optional checkboxes on the booking form, depending on the venue and region: <br><br>\n<h4>2.1 SMS Reservation Updates<\/h4>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019d like updates about my reservation via SMS at the phone number provided.\u201d<\/em>\n\n<br>This checkbox, when selected, allows Now Book It and\/or the venue to send you transactional SMS messages related to your booking \u2014 such as confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices.\n<br>\nIn Australia, this checkbox is pre-ticked by default. In Canada and the United States, this checkbox requires active opt-in and is not pre-ticked, in accordance with CASL and TCPA requirements.\n<br>\nTo opt out of SMS at any time, reply <strong>STOP<\/strong> to any SMS you receive. Reply <strong>HELP<\/strong> for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.\n<br>\n<strong>SMS opt-out:<\/strong> Reply <strong>STOP<\/strong> to any message to unsubscribe immediately. This applies to all SMS sent in connection with your Now Book It reservation.<\/p>\n<h4>2.2 Venue Marketing Communications<\/h4>\n<p><em>\u201cI agree to receive special invitations and updates from [Venue Name]\u201d<\/em>\n\n<br>This checkbox, when selected, allows the venue \u2014 not Now Book It \u2014 to contact you with marketing communications such as special offers, events, and updates.\n<br>\nIn Australia, this checkbox is pre-ticked by default but can be deselected before completing your booking. In Canada, the United States, and New Zealand, this checkbox requires active opt-in and is not pre-ticked, in accordance with applicable anti-spam and privacy legislation.\n<br>\n<\/p>\n<h4>2.3 Booking Terms and Conditions<\/h4>\n<p><em>\u201cI agree to the booking Terms and Conditions.\u201d<\/em>\n\n<br>This checkbox is not pre-ticked and must be actively selected to complete a booking where a venue has enabled it. It relates to the venue\u2019s own booking terms, which may include cancellation policies and deposit conditions.\n<br>\n\n<br>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Now Book It Does Not Market to Diners<\/h3>\n<p>Now Book It does not use diner data for its own marketing purposes. We do not send promotional emails, SMS messages, or push notifications to diners on our own behalf.<\/p>\n<p>The personal information you provide when making a reservation (such as your name, email address, phone number, and dining preferences) is:<\/p>\n<\/li><ul>\n<li>Shared with the venue you are booking with, so they can manage your reservation<\/li>\n<li>Used by Now Book It solely to facilitate the booking and any associated transactional communications<\/li>\n<li>Not sold, rented, or distributed to third parties for marketing purposes<\/li>\n<\/ul> <br><p>Now Book It\u2019s direct communications with diners are limited to transactional messages \u2014 such as booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices \u2014 which are necessary to complete your reservation.<\/p><br>\n<li>\n<h3>Bookings via Reserve with Google<\/h3>\n<p>When you book a table using Google\u2019s Reserve with Google service (for example, through the \u201cBook Now\u201d or \u201cReserve a Table\u201d button on Google Search or Google Maps), Google collects your contact and booking details and shares them with Now Book It to fulfil your reservation.<\/p>\n<p>In this context:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Google\u2019s handling of your data is governed by <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.google.com\/privacy\">Google\u2019s Privacy Policy<\/a>. You can manage your Google account data and privacy settings at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/account\/about\/?hl=en-US\">myaccount.google.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Once your data is received by Now Book It, it is handled in accordance with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nowbookit.com\/privacypolicy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a> and the preferences described on this page.<\/li>\n<li>If you set marketing preferences during a Reserve with Google booking, those preferences are passed to Now Book It and honoured in the same way as preferences set directly on our platform.<\/li>\n<li>To opt out of communications or request data deletion for bookings made via Google, you may contact us at legal@nowbookit.com or use the methods described in Sections 4, 5, and 6 below.<\/li><br>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Opting Out of SMS Messages<\/h3>\n<p>You can opt out of SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reply <strong>STOP<\/strong> to any SMS message you receive in connection with a Now Book It reservation<\/li>\n<li>Deselect the SMS updates checkbox at the time of making any future booking<\/li>\n<li>Email legal@nowbookit.com with \u201cSMS Opt-Out\u201d in the subject line, including the phone number you wish to unsubscribe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After opting out via STOP, you will receive one final SMS confirming your unsubscription. No further SMS messages will be sent to that number unless you opt back in.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: opting out of SMS does not affect email confirmations or other communications related to your booking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>US &amp; Canada \u2014 Compliance note<\/strong>: SMS messaging complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in the United States and Canada\u2019s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.<\/p>\n<ul>\n\n<\/ul>\n<br><\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Opting Out of Venue Marketing Communications<\/h3>\n<p>If you have previously opted in to marketing from a venue and wish to unsubscribe, you should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email you receive from the venue<\/li>\n<li>Reply STOP to any venue marketing SMS<\/li>\n<li>Contact the venue directly to request removal from their mailing list<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul><p>You can also deselect the venue marketing consent checkbox at the time of any future booking through Now Book It.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unable to opt out directly and require assistance, contact us at legal@nowbookit.com and we will facilitate your request with the relevant venue.<\/p>\n<br><\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Request Deletion of Your Personal Data<\/h3>\n<p>You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain legal exceptions (for example, where we are required to retain records for tax, legal, or dispute resolution purposes).<\/p>\n<p>To submit a deletion request:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Email legal@nowbookit.com with \u201cData Deletion Request\u201d in the subject line<\/li>\n<li>Include your full name and the email address or phone number associated with your reservation<\/li>\n<br>\n\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and aim to complete deletion within 30 days. Where personal data has been shared with a venue, you may also need to contact the venue directly to request deletion of data they hold independently.<\/p>\n\n<p>If your booking was made via Reserve with Google and you wish to manage or delete data held by Google, please visit Google\u2019s Privacy &amp; Terms.<\/p>\n<br><\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Access and Correct Your Personal Data<\/h3>\n<p>Regardless of your location, you have the right to access and request corrections to the personal information we hold about you. This right is supported under the applicable privacy legislation in each country where Now Book It operates.<\/p>\n<p>To request access or correction:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Email <a href=\"mailto:legal@nowbookit.com\">legal@nowbookit.com<\/a> with \u201cData Access Request\u201d or \u201cData Correction Request\u201d in the subject line<\/li>\n<li>We will verify your identity before providing any information<\/li>\n<li>There is no charge for making an access or correction request<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, and no later than 30 days.<\/p>\n<br><\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Cookies and Tracking Technologies<\/h3>\n<p>Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience and understand how our platform is used.
