September 1 is getting dangerously close, which means it’s time to start booking those tables for Father’s Day! Whether Dad loves a good old steak dinner, can’t say no to a beer-slinging arvo at your local pub or is more of a fine wine and dine kind of bloke, there are plenty of places to celebrate the fathers (and father figures) in our lives.

Celebrate Dad the Brazilian way with this lively grill venue’s all-you-can-eat churrasco (their signature sizzling meat skewers), an ice cold beer for Dad, and a sweet fill of churros for the table to finish — all for $98pp. Definitely book this no-brainer for a big family blowout.

4. Adria Bar & Restaurant, Sydney
Follow the Darling Harbour coastline to get to this diverse and celebrated Mediterranean venue that brings forward all things sunny, rich, and delicious. 6. The Cove Dining Co, Abbotsford

If Dad appreciates a fine glass of wine along with great conversations, this neighbourhood bottle shop will be an excellent choice. Community interactions are a part of the draw at this elegant and versatile Coburg space, in addition to its Father’s Day Sunday Session set menu ($75pp) featuring solid bar food.

8. Luxsmith, Seddon
For mod Asian eats in Seddon, cosy dining room Luxsmith is in a league of its own. Bring Dad for the Feed Me menu ($75pp) and make it a family affair with mushroom dumplings, salt and pepper squid, Korean beef cheeks, and more.

9. Cena, Deer Park
Tucked away in Deer Park, this modern Italian venue offers a charming, intimate way to celebrate Father’s Day with their signature dishes. Think pizza, pasta and meat from the chargrill, and don’t forget to treat Dad to the Tim Tam Tiramisu for good measure. Buona Festa del Papà!

Another cafe makes the list with its Father’s Day session, but this Brunswick favourite switches it up with a sprawling concrete warehouse-meets-plant oasis that fits the whole family, and then some.
