Perched high above the city, this revolving restaurant is one of Perth, Australia’s most well-known and popular dining destinations. Guests can enjoy lunch, high tea, or dinner while taking in ever-changing 360-degree city and river views. A five-time consecutive award-winning venue, it pairs culinary excellence with a unique, rotating perspective, making it a favorite for locals and visitors alike.
Venue Manager Ann-Marie Gill shared how Now Book It has streamlined upscale restaurant reservations while also introducing a profitable new revenue stream through gift cards.
Keeping tables full is a constant challenge
Even with an unforgettable dining experience, staying busy requires more than great food and views. The team knows that relying on reputation alone isn’t enough in today’s competitive hospitality market.
“In this industry, it’s not enough to rely solely on what happens inside the restaurant. We’re always looking for smart ways to reach guests and generate revenue beyond the dining room,” said Anne-Marie.
This mindset led them to Now Book It gift cards. Gift cards aren’t just a convenience, they’re a strategic tool. Customers buying gift cards are already committed to spending, and diners who use them tend to spend 20–30% more than the card value, adding significant incremental revenue.

Turning gifting into real growth
Introducing gift cards quickly created a new stream of income. In just the first few months of 2025, the restaurant sold over 900 gift cards, generating more than $76,000 USD in additional profit, a revenue source that didn’t exist before.
“Gift cards have been a win-win. They bring in new guests and give us upfront cash flow, which is especially helpful before busy periods like Mother’s Day.”
This extra revenue gives the team more freedom to plan ahead, manage peak periods effectively, and operate with confidence. Gift cards are now an essential part of the restaurant’s growth strategy.
Beyond the dollars: Experiences guests love
The gift cards go beyond a simple monetary value. With Now Book It, the restaurant offers curated dining experiences, including High Tea, Degustation Menus, and Wine Pairings. Guests enjoy giving something thoughtful and unique, while the restaurant positions itself as more than just a meal – it’s an experience.
Integrating Now Book It for reservations has also simplified operations. Guests can update their bookings, add preferences, and reduce unnecessary phone calls. Staff spend less time on administrative tasks and more time delivering an exceptional dining experience.
“Having a reliable system means less time troubleshooting and more time focusing on our guests,” said the manager.

Booked, busy & backed by data
One of the biggest advantages of Now Book It is access to real-time insights. The dashboard allows the team to see booking patterns, identify peak times, and optimize seating layouts to maximize revenue.
“The reporting and insights give us the data we need to make smarter decisions, and it’s had a real impact on our revenue,” Ann-Marie said.
With data-driven decision-making now part of daily operations, the restaurant runs more efficiently while continuing to elevate the guest experience.
